Steel Fabrication

Much of our work involves heavy steel fabrication including supporting structures, mainly secondary although we can undertake primary fabrication, and includes industrial platforms, staircases, balustrades and railings including design, fabrication, finishing and installation catering for the commercial, industrial and retail markets. Our facilities are capable of accommodating items upto 10m in length and 5 tons.

Design
We operate an inhouse design facility suited for translating client schematics into working drawings as well as offering design support for custom fabrications such as sculptures, facades and standard frameworks.

Materials
We work with standard materials such as mild steel, RSJ's, stainless steel and aluminium as well as with specialist materials such as cromweld and cast iron.

Welding
All of our welders are certified. We carry out mig, tig and arc welding both within the Byfleet factory as well as on site. We also have coded welders available trained up to BS4872 standards. Weld types available include fillet, butt, overhead and vertical welds.

Finishing
We can undertake all types of finishing either inhouse or as a sub-contracted service fully managed by IDL Colour Coating as part of our one stop shop service. Surface treatments offered include.

• Powder Coating
• Stove Enamelling
• Shot Blasting
• Paint Stripping
• Galvanising

Installation
Installation can be carried out by IDL Colour Coating or by customer managed contractors. We operate a flexible service and are happy to work with third parties and within demanding environments including construction sites and public spaces. All of our staff are fully trained and hold relevant skill cards for tasks such as site welding, erection, heavy plant use and lifting.
