Machining
We offer
machining services in support of our general engineering services
including refurbishments, restoration, fabrication, prototyping and
product development. Machining is carried out for mainly one off
bespoke requirements although we do undertake small volume batch
work.
Milling
We offer
horizontal
and vertical milling of
most billet materials upto 2m
in length including boring. NC DRO allows for a high degree of
accuracy and repeatability which combined with our highly skilled
staff enabled us to produce work of the highest caliber.
Turning
We have
the inhouse facilities for turning components upto 1m in length and
200mmØ. The Colchester student is equipped with a 3 and 4
jaw chuck as well as a collect facility.
Boring, knurling, threading, reaming and profiling can also
be undertaken.
Drilling
We have
a range bench drills for drilling, tapering and threading.
Grinding
Angle grinding
and bench
top grinding for the removal of weld and cleaning of burs.
Linishing
A range
of general linishing machines with various abrasive grades for removing
burs and preparing weld for powder coating.
