Alot of our work involves automotive chassis building, and vehicle modifications. Below is an example of of an articulated lorry trailer conversion.

Project- IDL RACE CAR TRANSPORTER

Brief

To convert a articulated lorry trailer into a functional, 4 car race transporter. Onside the trailer should provide seating for drivers to get changed and debriefed after a race meeting upstairs. The truck should also have manoeuvrable storage lockers and temporary sleeping arrangements for staff. The trailer must be astatically pleasing from outside and must have a tailift to accommodate most sizes of race car. There must also be hidden area at the front of the truck where the compressor and generator can be placed.  

Complete in-house fabrication and fitment.Including;

• Side door access stairs and handrail. Designed for quick removal.
• Interior steps and front raised flooring(for increased storage capacity.
• Front frame- housing generator and air compressor.
• Interior car rails+ bed frame+ interior storage lockers.
• Exterior body panels.
• Awning pole storage racks.
• Heating + air conditioning + air vents
• TV roof mounted arial system.

The project proved very successful and the truck proved to work effectively. The truck will shortly be undergoing further developments and will have the following added;

• Exterior windows.
• Complete bathroom, shower, sink, and toilet.
• Upstairs room dividers.
• Upstairs office.
• Upstairs separate bedroom.
• Briefing room + Data room.
